Northwest Auditory Processing Clinic
Treating Auditory Processing Disorders

Our clinic designs individualized treatment plans to address the specific areas of deficit
identified in our APD evaluation.  The successful management in the educational
setting focuses on remediating the disorder, changing the environment, and improving
the client’s listening and learning skills.

Therapy for APD disorders combines well-known programs, such as FastForward,
Lindamood Bell, techniques from Dr. Teri Bellis, and Dr. Jack Katz’s phonemic
synthesis and background noise desensitization.

Our goal for APD therapy is to work with the educational setting to achieve academic
success for the student.  Input to IEP goals and objectives, classroom
accommodations, including strategies for the teacher, use of assistive devices and FM
systems, are offered.
